The hill stream loach genus Indoreonectes is endemic to peninsular India south of the Satpura ranges and represented by three species I. evezardi , keralensis telanganaensis . has been suggested as a complex based on recent genetic studies; however, due lack type material delimitation difficult. Here we redescribe collected from its locality describe two new northern Western Ghats India. neeleshi described Mula River tributary Godavari river system, can be diagnosed all congeners combination characters: inner rostral barbel reaching middle nostril; maxillary midway between eye posterior border operculum; dorsal hump behind nape; bars lateral side body wider than inter-bar space; total vertebrae 35 fin insertion 13 th 14 abdominal vertebrae. rajeevi Hiranyakeshi Krishna differs anterior margin eye; conspicuous black markings lower lip, absent; 36 12 Further, raw distance 6.8–14.4% for cox1 gene 5.7–16.2% cytb gene, while 10.9–14.0% 11.8–15.8% gene.
